Worst Song Ever, Revealed!
“Music is My Hot, Hot Sex” by Cansei de Ser Sexy, better known as the song in the iPod Touch commercial, is the worst song in the world. This grating, repetitive burst of vapid noise is guaranteed to get stuck in your head for days after a single exposure. While the song’s sentiment – music is cool and sexy – is correct, that’s neither a revelation nor a particularly deep subject. More damning is the fact that the song itself does its best to prove just the opposite. If this god-awful racket is somehow representative of “music,” the only reasonable response is to hate music. It’s bad enough that humans are forced to hear this shit every time Apple decides it needs more of our money, but it’s also selling well on iTunes. Stop and think about that -- it means that someone, somewhere is not only listening to this song on purpose, but that they paid for the privilege of doing so.
