On Tuesday evening just after 5 p.m., the time that Tickle Me Pink was originally slated to make an in-store appearance at Independent Records on Colfax to commemorate the release of Madeline, its eagerly awaited Wind-up Records debut, fans gathered together to pay their respects to Tickle Me Pink bassist Johnny Schou, who, as reported here, was found dead at his home earlier in the day. -- Dave Herrera

Dear Bonnie and John,
I was so sad for you when I realized the bassist was your son. I don't know what to say except I know he was a good kid and VERY talented.
I called sister Barb Christ Hardy this a.m.and she phoned me a while ago. She got the word out to many of the people in John's class.....Penny Pederson, and many others.
You are in my prayers. I mean it.
Love, Coleen Christ Hatch
