'It'll be worth the wait, baby. I promise."

Here's a handy wrap-up of all the great content you might have overlooked this week on Backbeat Online while you were consumed with wailing and gnashing your teeth over the tragic news that Britney Spears new single would be delayed...

Big news from lots of Denver bands this week. The Asbestos Tampons are handing out free stickers and other stuff. Even more exciting than free stuff, Fight Like Hell is getting back together, Breathe Carolina is charting well and the Pirate Signal have been added to 3Oh!3's tour. And in a very weird development, Git Some's latest CD is going to available at Hot Topic (also, temperatures plummeting in Hell).

In show news, we had reviews of live sets from Frantix and a hip-hop happening featuring Common and N.E.R.D. Looking forward, we did our due diligence to bring you the latest upcoming show announcements.

If you prefer to stay home (hey, it beats getting beer spilled on you), try out these 45 second reviews (including Stereolab) or these pre-release impressions of the new Margot & the Nuclear So and So's for some home-based enjoyment suggestions.

We all have questions, and if there's one thing I've learned in my years of music journalism it's that the bands always have the answers. This week, we give questions and get answers from members of Santogold, Sigur Ros and Darker My Love.

Hip-hop news! Get your piping hot hip-hop news! Read all about local hip-hop festival Scribble Jam and national hp-hop news in the Friday Rap-Up.

Sit down with John Common and listen as he explains his incredible new "Wheel of Inexplicable Connections" theory in this week's Scratch and Dent Sale.

Finally the really important stuff. Local scene fixture Sharon Rawles has been moved to hospice and there's a benefit announced for Ralph DaFermo, "greatest living barrelhouse 'boogie-woogie' piano man in the world," who's now blind. What do you say, folks? Dig deep and show your appreciation for their contributions in their time of need, huh?
