There are few organizations In the history of electronic music that loom larger than the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.They helped develop techniques and technologies that went on to become the mainstay of electronic musicians to this day, not to mention helped condition the masses to accept, even love, the strange, unearthly tones of synthesized sound through their work. If you're familiar with their work at all, it is probably through the seminal theme from Dr. Who, famous in its own right and once covered by pioneering dance act Orbital. Now, the blog Dinosaur Gardens has discovered, digitized and made ready to download the 1973 album you see here. No Dr. Who theme, but there are a couple of minor gems on it, such as "Vespucci," a slice of sultry, low-key funk and "Take Another Look," which sounds like the theme song from a '70s sitcom about two industrial robots and a vacuum cleaner living together in a two-bedroom junkyard.
