Saturday: Grandma Dynamite Tribute at 3 Kings Tavern

Tomorrow night at 3 Kings Tavern, a cavalcade of current and bygone Denver acts and musicians will be on hand to celebrate the life of Wendi Wikstrand, aka Grandma Dynamite, a very dear friend of mine and the scene, who passed away at the end of October. Slated to appear on the bill are Hellafied Funk Crew, Blister 66, Hippie Werewolves, Rocket Ajax, Sick, Horse, Lola Black, Death Valley Pom Squad, Digg, Throbbing Pink Jesus, Sloan Valve and Assault. Doors are at 5 p.m. Cover is $10, with all proceeds going to benefit the Brain Injury Association of Colorado. -- Dave Herrera
