well done. I probably won't bother with the rest of the "national" acts, not that there's anything wrong with them, but the local bands are where I'm at ... and then, Meese ... good job. I figured you were lining them up.

This is great news. The Fluid shows last year were amazing, took me back a long ways. Mudhoney at the Larimer was unbelievable as well. Please post pre-sale and sale information as soon as possible.

Hey, Stan, sorry about that, man. Really. We weren't trying to dupe anybody. Trust me: We're as bummed as you. But this development was beyond our control. The band, which was confirmed (or else we wouldn't have made the initial announcement), canceled due to a scheduling conflict. In terms of not admitting it: As you'll see from , we just found out about this ourselves not too long ago and were holding off posting an update until we had a replacement lined-up. Given the comments posted here, though, we figured it was best to break the news now -- frankly we'd prefer that folks didn't find out that way, in the comments section. Anyhow, again, please accept our apology. For what it's worth, your ticket will still give you the opportunity to check out more than fifty of Denver's best bands, plus Built to Spill, Meese and the Fluid. Hopefully, that helps soften the blow. All apologies.

@Stan: Understood, man. Again, very sorry. BTW, another for what it's worth: I've played the Fluid numerous times on my show, Mile Hi-Fidelity (Weds. 8-10 p.m., Indie 101.5) -- last month, most recently, in fact -- and will definitely give some more spins in the future.

today was like a rollercoaster. i read in the backbeat that mudhoney was going to play at the music showcase this year. so i went on here to confirm...going up....confirmed! i almost shat my pants. then i found this on thier webpage:
