So, it looks like our favorite singer-songwriter, Danielle Ate the Sandwich, has become everybody else's favorite, after all. Ms. Sandwich (or Ms. Anderson, if you prefer formality), appearing this Friday, June 26, on the Meadowlark patio, has garnered invitations to perform at the upcoming UMS and Monolith festivals, and was asked to write the theme for Everyday, a new afternoon talk show on Fox 31 hosted by Libby Weaver and Natalie Tysdal. And she's not the only local artist whose song are being used as a soundtrack. Boulder Acoustic Society, whose music has already served as a backdrop for ESPN's Mayne Street, has licensed another song, "Lullaby of Birdland," for use in the new Mini Cooper commercial. And finally, as we were opening our mail earlier this week, we noticed that the Fray landed its song, "Never Say Never," on the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallon soundtrack and that Otis Taylor -- who is slated to appear tomorrow evening at the Toad Tavern -- likewise appears on the Public Enemies soundtrack, with the tune, "Ten Million Slaves."
