• @isolated: They started by playing basement shows in Boulder (of which I've seen) and became a phenomenon through the wonderful world of MySpace then tackling The Warped Tour with said pissed on wool. Kids know what kids like Joe, and as we get older we may or may not approve, but damnit if they don't spend a shitload of money on the things they do.

• I think you're giving them waaaaaay too much credit. I choose A). I'll give it to the panty-wastes though, they are good at selling records to kids. They did come up through The Marquis, the only all age venue that will book hip-hop or whatever it is they do. I still can't listen to the song...it's almost worse than soulja boy...almost.

• Or maybe they discovered what works and does just that and nothing else

• These guys are either the a) most giant dorks in the history of mankind or b) God damn geniuses slowly and deliberately pulling the wool over the eyes of America's youth, then punching the wool in the face, pissing on it, and laughing as they deposit America's youth's money into the nearest ATM, for fear that someone's going to catch them reading Kafka and blow their cover. I'd bet the house on option b). Am I crazy?
