Tyler "Danger" Jacobson ending his Lipgloss residency

Received word that Tyler "Danger" Jacobson is ending his eight-year residency at Lipgloss on August 28. Jacobson actually made the announcement this past weekend on his Danger Radio show on Indie 101.5, but with most of the state's music writers otherwise occupied, it took a day or two for word to get out. Jacobson is not quitting deejaying and Lipgloss will continue under the capable hands of his co-founder and partner-in-crime DJ boyhollow. Jacobson says he'll probably even play a Lipgloss guest set here and there, but his days as a weekly fixture are coming to an end. You can hear the announcement yourself on his website.

Haha, looks like at one person cares about this article enough to post. big ups to tyler, he will be missed. and back at Denver DJ: I don't believe i've ever rocked a party w/ an ipod-- Not that it matters, but, i use turntables just like most all the other djs you like to hate on. Wow, its another "who gives a damn" article. I may have heard the announcement if I could HEAR Indie...but their weak ass signal only works in Limon. Whats worse is how Lipgloss is already a dying event; this will only make it worse. Boyhollow plays the same set every week, so I'm NOT going to be going every week. ...Maybe they will hire DJ Klaw to come in and "rip it up," then we can give the guy a "hand." He is pretty hip to the hipsters. ...Maybe DJ Hot to Death will Rock a Set of Ipod music, pausing only to wash down the plaque stuck to his teeth with cheap vodka, while watching "Guest DJs" from the Westword come in and suck ball sack. ...NO ONE CARES. Why does Westword only promote Hipster shit? Seriously, there are probably 1,000 people that fit into that demographic. Remember when it was cool to be hipster? Yeah, well, you can't be hip with trends that faded 3 years ago. Denver's hipster crowd would be better qualified as "scum-bag" crowd. They are dirty, they wear the same clothes everyday, and like DJ Hot to Death, many of them don't brush their teeth. Am I right?
