Although Mardi Gras festivities usually happen in February or March in New Orleans, there's a chance Red Rocks might get soaked in a Bourbon Street vibe when some of the Crescent City's finest musicians take over the venue tomorrow, August 8 as part of the Mountainside Mardi Gras Music Festival. Dr. John & the Lower 911 headline the show, while the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, George Porter Jr. & the Runnin' Pardners and others get the funk and jazz started early in the day.

Not only does the show sound like one hell of a party, but part of the profits go to benefit the New Orleans Tipitina's Foundation, which is dedicated to mentoring young musicians, providing instruments for school band programs and more.

Tickets, which are $62.50 and $48.50, can be purchased through TicketsWest or at any King Soopers/City Market stores. Doors open at noon. Here's the full line-up:

1-2 p.m.: Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes
2:15-3:15 p.m.: Big Sam's Funky Nation
3:30-4:30 p.m.: Papa Grows Funk
4:45-5:45 p.m.:  George Porter Jr. and the Runnin' Pardners
6-7:15 p.m.: Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk
7:30-8:30 p.m.: The Dirty Dozen Brass Band
9-10:30 p.m.: Dr. John and the Lower 911
