Wentworth Kersey gets glowing review on Pop Matters

While we don't necessarily need it to validate our art or to motivate us to continue creating compelling art -- although truth be told, a good many of us, if we're being honest, still crave the recognition -- we have to admit, it's always nice to be recognized for what you do outside of your own zip code. Can't tell you how many people I've run into in the past year who were stoked to see our town featured in Spin last fall. (Hell, I was stoked and I wrote the damn thing.) Fact is, it's always gratifying to read positive write-ups of our hometown heroes in national pubs; seeing acts like 3OH!3, Fear Before and the Photo Atlas grace the pages of AP early on certainly put a smile on our faces. Likewise, it was particularly sweet to stumble upon this glowing review of Wentworth Kersey's latest disc, O, on PopMatters.com. From where we stand, the reviewer's assessment is pretty spot on -- even if we do say so ourselves.
