Elwood sings the blues.

Over the weekend, Dan Aykroyd was in town signing bottles of Crystal Head vodka at Applejack Wine and Spirits. Blues Brothers fans who were undoubtedly thrilled at the prospect of being able to press flesh the one and only Elwood Blues on Saturday afternoon, would've positively lost their dang minds if they happened to stop by Lincoln's Road House this past Friday night and saw Aykroyd throwing down on "Flip, Flop and Fly," with the members of Dear Marsha who were playing their farewell gig. Our intrepid Drink of the Week columnist, Nancy Levine, was in the house and snapped the above photo. For his part, Aykroyd is already hip to the fine sounds being churned out in the Mile High City, particularly since the Informants' latest effort, Crime Scene Queen, which has received airplay on his House of Blues Radio Hour, has been selected among the top blues CDs of 2009.
