Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas with the Nurses (that just sounds dirty, doesn't it?)

​And the Christmas songs just keep cropping up from the scene. Over the past week, we've spotlighted a pair of original holiday-oriented tunes from the Mansfields and Dressy Bessy. This one's a cover from a newer act out of Loveland called The Nurses doing a faithful version of the standard "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." Bluesy and a bit languid, the plodding number sets the mood perfectly for the impending yuletide week of festivities. Kind of makes us want to don a cable-knit sweater and sit by the fire with a cup of eggnog or something. Backbeat's own Dutch Seyfarth has already proclaimed it to be his new favorite Christmas tune.
