Kegan Warner has some big shoes to fill. Next month, he'll be taking over the reins as host of Radio 1190's long running Local Shakedown program, the weekly hour-long show devoted strictly to the best independent music coming out of Colorado. Warner replaces the outgoing and ever popular Katherine Peterson, who's finishing up her coursework at the University of Colorado and preparing to establish roots in the Mile High City. As designed, the student run radio station produces a rotating cast of hosts to succeed the previous personalities as they graduate and move on. Peterson, who displayed impeccable sensibilities during her time on the show and as music director for the station, stepped in a few years back for the exiting Pat Collins, himself a successor in an esteemed lineage that includes d.biddle's Jeff Davenport, Porlolo's Erin Roberts and Smooch Records founder Andrew Murphy. Godspeed, Katherine. Welcome, Kegan!
