Illegal Pete's to feed Starving Artists coming through Denver

So this is a rad perk for touring acts coming through Colorado. Suburban Home Records honcho Virgil Dickerson and our own Andy Thomas have teamed up with Illegal Pete's to establish the aptly dubbed Starving Artists Program, which is exactly what it sounds like: setting up weary bands on the road with a meal in exchange for spreading the word to their family and friends about Illegal Pete's.

All bands coming through Denver are eligible and merely need to reach out via e-mail in advance to get the hookup. The restaurant will then set up each member with a gift certificate good for one free entree.

Illegal Pete's Starving Artist Program sounds similar to Denny's Adopt-a-Band promo, only this one's open to any band on tour and comes from a restaurant with direct ties to our community. And this isn't the eatery's first novel idea involving music. Remember a few years ago when the restaurant chipped in on the Hearts of Palm EP and then gave away copies in stores? Good on Pete's for continuing to do its part. Instant co-sign.
