Mr. Midas, whom you might recall we spoke with last month, is reportedly two songs away from completing his new album, Son of the Crack Era, and is preparing for the release of the Chris Eng-directed video "Run My Town" in early October.

In advance of the album's release, we got our hands on "Back On," a cut from the new album produced by Big K.R.I.T.. According to Midas, he connected with the Meridian, Mississippi-based Def Jam MC through DJ Stupac, who deejayed at the first installment of the CO hip-hop Unity series started by Midas.

K.R.I.T.'s touch is all over this joint; from the triple snare repetition in the beat to the southern swag in his voice on the hook. Mr. Midas sets the tone with perfection by describing the scene of fast blowing money and plenty of women with his airy flow over the bass and drum kicks. This is a hood record of club track proportions sure to keep the ladies dancing and the fellas posturing. Give it a listen below.
