Tonight: The Hood Internet at the Fox Theatre

​The concept behind The Hood Internet's work is pretty simple: Create unlikely combinations of current tracks by a variety of artists, and let the newly birthed song ride out. Less ADD-like than a lot of mash-up creationists, The Hood Internet DJ duo simply builds a sonic space where R. Kelly can collaborate with Architecture in Helsinki, Spank Rock meets up with Burial, and Birdman can ride alongside Washed Out in an unimaginably pleasant way.

Through their website, the dudes in the Hood offer up new downloadable tracks and mixtapes for download almost daily. And, for a visual perspective on music, the DJs also run albumtacos.com, a blog devoted to the interjection of taco imagery into album cover art. Yes, tacos in your favorite album art.

This show is all ages, and tickets are $12-$14. Doors open at 8 p.m., show starts at 9 p.m.
