Tonight: Andrea Lynn CD release at The Walnut Room
Though there is probably plenty of snow left in the Colorado forecast to keep us hibernating until May, musicians have been cooped up long enough. The usual Spring influx of new album releases has begun, thankfully, and local folk singer Andrea Lynn is taking the opportunity to celebrate the release of her latest work, The Mountains and the Sea, tonight at The Walnut Room. 
This third release finds the Denver based singer-songwriter collaborating with friends like pianist Rachel Zylstra and Lotus percussionist Chuck Morris to build her stripped-down but complex folk-based sound. But it is the powerful but gentle tone of Lynn's voice that captures most of the attention, as elements of influences like Indigo Girls can be clearly heard. For this album release tonight, Andrea Lynn will also be playing with John Statz and Patrick Dethlefs.This show is 21 and up, and tickets are $8-$10. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m.
