We have to hand it to a band that makes us physically LOL. A searing vision of George Costanza running out of the bathroom, pants around his ankles and screaming "Vandelay Industries!" was one of the funnier scenes to resonate from the Seinfeld series -- and tonight at the Larimer Lounge, a band ingeniously taking the same fake company name plays with an all local line-up.

Running somewhere between The Weakerthans and Weezer, Vandelay Industries rules at being sincere -- even if they don't necessarily mean to be. The Fort Collins' quartet has spent the last two years or so developing it's minimal yet three-dimensional sound, which finds the meat of it's music coming from a good balance of keyboards and percussion. Vandelay Industries opens tonight, along with As We Migrate, Portobello Road, and Burl Kramer. This show is 21 and up, and is $8. Doors open at 8 p.m., show begins at 9 p.m.
