DeVotchKa's latest offering, 100 Lovers isn't due out on Anti- Records till March 1, but the fine folks over at NPR's All Songs Considered are streaming the new record in its entirety until its release. The record, produced by Craig Schumacher, features DeVotchKa's trademark, Eastern European inspired sound, but Nick Urata's recent work on soundtracks is starting to become more evident in the bands music.

The songs here, although firmly rooted in DeVotchKa's history, somehow sound, bigger, wider and more realized. There are some guests on this record as well, with members of Calexico popping in now and again to add a little extra flavor. We're certainly impressed and -- like most DeVotchKa albums -- 100 Lovers is best served on a sunny winter afternoon. We are, however, particularly fond of "Exhaustible," but that's partially because we're suckers for songs with whistling hooks.

people at the Fillmore show were treated to guest percussionist Mauro Refosco's (Forro in the Dark/David Byrne/Atoms for Peace fame) sweet beats too
