Whoever books this showcase every year is either pocketing a lot of cash and booking as someone else said on here "marginal bands" at best, or they just don't know what they are doing. In all fairness, you could have booked a much larger act and ditched the aging rapper, the Not so hip hipster bands and really had a great headliner. All the years prior to this one are a blur anyways, but Westword has never had the ability to spot up and coming bands. If only someone like Scott Cambell was in charge of booking or even Ben Desoto, we might see a good line up, but I guess this will have to do for the time being. I'll be there nonetheless.
Chromeo is fantastic and so is Del. Furthermore he is about to drop Deltron 3030 Event II, and him performing with a full band sounds awesome. Don't go if you think the line-up sucks. Because those two acts alone are worth a $40 ticket and they are selling them for $15 plus you get a ton of locals as well. Its pretty hypocritical to say "oh all these bands are crap but oh well I'm gonna go anyway" It also makes you sound like a hipster.
