Tonight: The Coronas at the Larimer Lounge

Forming at the tender age of fifteen in the early '00s, there's no doubt the Coronas sound was shaped by The Strokes and their ilk. At times, the still youngish four-piece even channel a little of that Gin Blossoms' movie soundtrack charm -- guitars and piano merge dramatically with drums and bandleader Danny O'Reilly's super emotive vocals. 
Though The Coronas haven't released a record since 2009's Tony was an Ex-Con, the dudes are in America on their first-ever headlining tour, surely snagging fans who long for the Coldplays and Kings of Leons of yesteryear. This show is 21 and up, and tickets are $10. Doors open at 8 p.m., bands start at 9:30.
