Weekend Dance Card: Afterhours Anonymous Spring Social, Birthday Beatdown, the Blend, Fish Bowl, Pisces Birthday Bash

This Friday, Afterhours Anonymous brings you its Spring Social featuring DJ Foxx, Ben A, Joey B, Bones and Quinn at miniBAR in Cherry Creek. The oh-so-cleverly-named crew threw one of Denver's best and most exclusive New Year's Eve parties this year by reuniting the entire Casa del Soul Collective for a limited-capacity event in downtown's historic Daniels & Fischer tower (sadly, only Casa's Ty Tek still hangs his spurs in Denver). This weekend should be a blast -- and definitely keep your eyes peeled for the big-time events AA has in store for you in the months ahead. (No cover, 21+)

Dirtybird's Christian Martin (San Francisco) headlines Birthday Beatdown, Saturday night at Casselman's. The Dirtybird crew always draws a big crowd in Denver, and this night with Christian Martin should be no exception. Quality local support from birthday boy Brandon Brown (Communikey) and Diverse. ($10, 21+)

The Blend kicks off this Saturday night at the Meadowlark. Resident DJs Hoang, Sami T and Brick Lee aim to mix a broad range of styles and hopefully bring together a diverse group of people to enjoy some quality dance music. The new monthly should be a great addition to downtown Denver's nightlife. ($5, 21+)

Also Saturday night, Musik1st's Chris Irvin, Nutmeg and Tony Rodelli are like three lost souls swimmin' in a fish bowl at...um....Fish Bowl, an afterhours warehouse event at a brand new TBA location. In celebration of Pisces' birthdays, Musik1st will have a special guest for the evening, also TBA. ($10, 21+)

And if deep house is your thing (does anyone not like deep house?), there's another Pisces Birthday Bash at Gallery 22 featuring DJs Dylan, Himay and Ces. It sounds like there will even be homemade chocolate cake for Dylan's and Melissa's birthdays. (No cover, 21+)
