Now that the dust has settled from the first half of the week, we wanted to provide you with some good ways to get started on your weekend. If you want to go drink for cheap, we've got that in here. If you want to get down with some bass, we've got just the place for that, too. Maybe you want to just get out and dance a little with the ladies -- well, we've got you covered there, as well.

Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom is going to provide a plethora of sound and light tonight with headliners Euforquestra and Chicago Afrobeat in the Ballroom. The Otherside, meanwhile, brings back Southern jam-rockers The Malah with EP3, Human Agency and Dailon. The Malah were just here a few weeks ago at the Otherside, when Archnemesis and Invisible Allies played a bangin' set with Eminence Ensemble.

Ana Sia will be in Boulder at the Fox Theater alongside Ben Samples. The all-ages show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $15 for 21+ and $18 for under 21.

At the Boulder Theater this evening, Dark Star Orchestra, which came through last fall, will be kicking its two-night stand. The Boulder Theater show is all-ages. Tickets are $25, and as of now, there are still some available.

SoCO clubs have their usual Thursday lineup: Funky Buddha's Beat the Clock, The Church has resident DJ Danny Martinez holding things down, and over at Vinyl, they've got Reggae on the Roof. Admission to the Church is $10, along with Vinyl, but if you feel like saving on admission and drinks, head over to the Buddha, where drink prices start at $1 and go up as the clock winds down to closing time.

Afrojack, Trajikk and Tommy Michael are going to destroy the sound system at Beta Nightclub tonight for the Triad Dragons NRG Thursdays. If you can picture the big moose at the front of Wally World from National Lampoon's Vacation, then you can picture him saying "Sorry folks, park's closed," because this show is SOLD OUT.
