Also tonight, Spring da Beat at miniBar features DJs Myquil, K Bomb and Jay P. Bottles of Svedka vodka can be purchased for $45 all night long. (21+, no cover)
Woody McBride, aka DJ ESP, spins at the Appaloosa Grill's last-Friday Full Flavor Fridays event with resident Greg Campbell, Garret and Sound Advice; there will be free promo records and CDs of the upcoming Woody release "Guten Timen" given out at the show. (9 p.m., 21+, $10 suggested donation)
EMP Audio's one-year anniversary is rocking the Funky Buddha tonight with ADDIKT, Proteje, SethOrin, @tom and Vysoko. (8 p.m., 21+, no cover)
Throwdown w/ DJs Petey and Shares lands at Beta tonight; DJs will get twelve minutes each to prove their skills in this judged competition for a $1,000 cash prize. (9 p.m., 21+, $5, no cover for ladies)
The Church is hosting another competition: the Global 15 Minutes of Fame Triad Dragons & Global Dance Festival throwdown will feature a dozen different DJs competing for cash and a slot at the Global Dance Festival. (18+, 9 p.m.)
A two-night bash tonight and Saturday night at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom and the Other Side, the Unified Field, offers up live painting by the legendary Alex Grey both nights, and musical performances by An-ten-nae, Octopus Nebula, DJ Vadim, Nadis Warriors, Dr Israel, Etheric Double, Resident Anti-Hero, Miraja and Zobomaze tonight; tomorrow night, catch Eskmo, Heyoka, Janover, Nadis Warriors, R/D, the Great Mundane, the Polish Ambassador, Grimace Federation and Project Aspect.
