Win tickets to see U2 at Invesco Field
It's a great time to be Billy Bunting. Well, not that there's ever an especially bad time to make at least part of your living evoking the world's most iconic living frontman at the prime of his career. But now is a particularly optimal time to be fronting a U2 tribute band, in the weeks leading up to Judgement Day, the day when U2 offers up the soundtrack for the end of the world at Invesco Field, on Saturday, May 21. Even better to have fifty pairs of tickets to the show up for grabs.
That's exactly the position Bunting (aka Billy Bono) and his Under a Blood Red Sky bandmates find themselves in. Next Friday, fresh off a string of dates in Dallas, Houston and Seattle, Bunting and company are playing a show at the Hard Rock Cafe on 16th and Glenarm. In honor of the occasion, the band has partnered with Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity, to collect shoes for less fortunate folks in exchange for tickets to the U2 show. Fifty pairs of them, to be exact. To win, all you have to do is buy a ticket to the Hard Rock show for $10 and then be one of the first people to bring a pair of gently worn shoes to the Hard Rock on the day of the show from 3 to 6 p.m.
