Five best midsize venues in LoDo and Ballpark

4. Casselman's Bar & Venue

While Casselman's took a while to get its legs, the place has been transformed into a solid spot for live music over the last few years with the addition of a new sound system and a killer lighting rig. The 9,000-square-foot venue can accommodate close to a thousand people standing in the back room, as well as another few hundred in the front section. The venue brings a decent of variety of acts, including both local and national rock and hip-hop groups, and is also an ideal spot for corporate events and parties.

What a bunch of spoiled music fans. Can't just be happy with what you have. Imagine if you lived in a town with no music venues. You have no idea what it takes to open and operate a live music venue.

well, the venues listed in the story are doing well no?  there is amarket for the music at those venues, they are not struggling arethey?  they poised the question as to what people like, and differentstrokes for different folks man.

not sure how your comment makes sense. You think there are spoiled fans cause some people don't like certain venues?

if a person is picky and really into music, they are going to know whatthey like, and where they don't want to go.  that simple.

obviously it's not easy to run a venue....once again, a totally unrelated matter.

Cervantes is absolute fucking garbage.  Anyone with a good thing to say about the sound in that room is too high to be discerning (which, ironically, is most of the audience on a given night).

And this Roxy Theatre doesn't look anymore promising, with it's Guitar Center soundsystem and hard-surface surroundings.  Good thing it will be spitting out nothing but canned stereo back tracks and vocals.

The best sounding room in town, hands down. Ask the bands where they'd rather play.

This room does sound incredible, plus they have one of the best sound guys in town, so that helps a lot.  Best room though?  I don't like the bar split music room setup.  I like my music venues to focus on music and booze.  If we are talking strictly lodo area...let's see....hmmm.....ummm....well......yeah, so there's .....ummm....oh....I don't go there.  I will be nice and just say...those places are not my cup o' tea.I'll take 3 kings, hi-dive, larimer, benders, bluebird, gothic
