Tonight: Sondre Lerche at the Larimer

Categories: Concerts

Norwegian-born singer Sondre Lerche (playing tonight at the Larimer Lounge with Kishi Bashi and Nightlands) knows how to write a catchy melody, but it's his deep catalog of complex chord structures, bossanova beat references and Tom Jones-ish crooning that set him apart. This diversity has also allowed the musician and arranger to move seamlessly from jazz to pop and back, bringing his multi-layered compositions to the big screen with the score to the 2007 film, Dan In Real Life.

Now residing in Brooklyn -- where he wrote his self-titled and just-released sixth record -- Lerche still holds true to his worldly influences and intelligent pop sensibilities with every song he creates. This show is 21 and up, and tickets are $15-18. Doors open at 8pm, and performances start shortly there after.
