Win free tickets to Dinner at the Thompson's at Cervantes tomorrow night

​What do you get when a New York-born, California-bred songstress and a French-born producer with influences ranging from J. Dilla and DJ Shadow combine forces? The duo known as Dinner at the Thompson's. An electro-funk-soul outfit with enough talent to fill a room twice between them, vocalist Lucille Tee and producer FabLive will swoop into Cervantes tomorrow night for the Denver leg of their US tour supporting their sophomore album, Off the Grid.

Lucille Tee has been compared to Erykah Badu with a twist of Portishead, and while these descriptions are apt, Tee more than holds her own unique stance against the theatrical production, as is the case with "Running" from FabLive, giving the band a sound unlike anything out right now.

For live performance, FabLive re-creates all the songs from memory using an MPC, while Lucille Tee rocks without back tracking at all. The two will no doubt rock the house.
