Tonight: Sarah Slaton album release at the Walnut Room
Arkansas native Sarah Slaton (playing tonight at the Walnut Room with Caleb Slade, Tricia Scully, Kate Moreland and Carl Hauck) has been kicking around Denver for quite sometime now, sharing stages with locals like Kyle Simmons, Nathaniel Rateliff and Danielle Ate the Sandwich. This evening, the singer-songwriter brings her sweet and delicate voice to the stage in celebration of her latest release, the live EP West Texas.
The musician has smartly used YouTube as a way to reach her audience, sharing both her story/blogs from the road, as well as a handful of great acoustic covers of contemporary pop songs by the likes of 3OH!3, Taio Cruz and Florence and the Machine. This show is 21-and-up, and tickets are $7. Doors open at 7 p.m., and performances begin at 8 7:15 p.m.
