As smartphones have opened the door to amazing mobile applications, the sheer amount of them being released makes it difficult to keep up with the best of them. So to help filter though all of it, we take a look at the best and tally them up here. This round, we've got an amazing rhythm game, a simple wedding music planner, a personalized news feed based on your iTunes library and more.

5. My Wedding Music (iOS)

It sounds kind of stupid, but since summer is the most popular time of year to get married, it makes perfect sense that people might be looking for a little help putting together their wedding music. No AC/DC or Flock of Seagulls are included here, just the essential, classic wedding tunes, all in an easy to understand interface so you can organize it to play certain songs during the seating, procession or whatever else. It's simple, logical and gets the job done.

4. Voloco (Android)

Voloco is a voice processor and karaoke machine. Seriously. So when you're singing along to karaoke carrying a terrible tune you can actually be auto-tuned while you do it. It's a bit ridiculous, but that doesn't mean its not fun to play around with. We found we were able to hit all the high notes in Mariah Carey's "Emotions" with no problem with a little help from Voloco.

3. Rdio (iPad)

Rdio is the first music streaming app to get iPad support -- so for those who subscribe to the service and own an iPad, this is the perfect app. It looks great on the big screen and works just as you'd imagine. While Rdio might not be the most buzzed about streaming service, it's still not half-bad and looks fantastic on an iPad.

2. Bandito (iOS)

Bandito feels incredibly futuristic, as does the premise. Upon launching the app, it asks you to scan your iTunes library, and once it does, it provides you with specially catered news feeds based on the music you listen to. It is rather insane sounding, but it works surprisingly well and pulls from a wide variety of sources, making those artist-specific news feed apps useless for anyone with a library of more than one album.

1. Groove Coaster (iOS)

Let's just put it this way: Groove Coaster is the best rhythm game on iOS. It's also possibly one of the best rhythm games on any device. The reasoning is pretty simple: It's incredibly easy to pick up and play, but difficult to master. It's also ludicrously addictive once you get the hang of it, and you'll likely find yourself wasting away hours at a time trying to get up on the leaderboards. Crazy j-pop, bizarre downtempo and over-the-top house music are all included for you to tap along to.
