Gruesome fight in parking lot at Phish show captured on video, inspires Facebook outrage

How about "Stop Dave Herrera"  Because you spout mindless garbage, about BS, that know one cares about.  And update your article multiple times like a douche-bag, and post follow up articles.  How about you get a real job and quit wasting everyone's time?!  Huh?

At the point of the videos, regardless of who "started it" Anvers escalated the situation more and more by trying to take the law into his own hands.  From what I read, he has no rights to seize items in a forceful manner, regardless of whether they are bootleg or not.  In terms of the fight on the fight on the video, he should have turned around and walked to security.  Again, regardless who started the fight, it is quite apparent that Anvers was determined to prove he had the mettle to take the other guy down.  Personally, I think Phish should disassociate themselves quickly from Anvers in any way, shape or form.  Having an openly violent individual like that basically representing their interests isnt exactly IN their best interest.

blood should be spilt for stealing copyrighted material...blood was spent in developing the original work.  If someone feels they have a "right" to steal from the true artists, there should be no harm in physically defending against such people.  If the thieves aren’t going to pay due royalties, take it out of their hide!

what concerns me more is this: typically only us marshals service is authorised to serve restraining orders regarding trademarks.therefore it appears mr anver has been falsely representing himself as a federal officer-which im pretty sure is a felony.w that said, he DOES really appear to resemble a heavily tattooed  individual who assualted & robbed (actually nearly killed) me in arkansas in 2009 with martial arts weapons-nunchaku-and he reportedly has a black belt.again, if anyone can place him at the wakarusa festival in june 2009, please call (479) 667-4127 and speak to investigator robert limbocker. thank you.

in the case of people who are hired by the bands or whomever to protect merchandise, you have NO right to put your hands on someone.  If you are in fact doing your job correctly the proper methods should be used to get the merchandise from the offender.  You are lucky thirty people didnt beat the shit out of you for assaulting that kid.

two thoughts: daves a dick: the dpd does nothing, becuase neither incident people are noting happened in their jurisdiction. (commerce city is in adams county, last I checked-and, I think the mile high exhibit was at the thornton? ramada? I have known and worked with Dave for many years.  His job is security - he is not flashing fake credentials and is someone that I would WANT to have my back.  Unless you were there, you don't know what actually happened.  This video picks up midway and who actually knows what that guy was on.  Ridiculous.

    The pony tailed loser who went by the name "gentleman Johnny" stole our friend's merch from a Panic show over a decade ago - he was such a prick and the kicker is the "stolen" merch was later seen being sold in local record shops. This dude needs to not be hired by bands that want their fans treated with respect. He is a thug and he has gotten a hell of a lot fatter. He looks like Ted Nugent's mongoloid half brother.

Man, I got all hyped expecting to see a knock down, drag out fight, and there's virtually nothing but a dude who obviously has a cut on his head. Though I am an advocate against violence, I want to know what the guy did to deserve having Dave get physical with him - where's that video?  You guys are seeing one little snippet of an incident.  I have known Dave for a long time and I know that he doesn't go around just beating people up for no reason.  He is a family man with children and he married his high-school sweetheart.  You claim to be peace-loving, etc., but publishing a man's home address and phone number is just wrong.  Why don't you publish your own information and see how positive a move like that is?  Selling unofficial merch is taking money away from the bands you claim to love so much and the promoters that bring them to you.  KNOW THE WHOLE STORY PEOPLE before you jump on the band-wagon!  If you really want to "Stop Dave", then stop selling illegal merchandise.  Period.

This article is somewhat misleading because it says Anver was purportedly staking out the parking lot in search of "counterfeit merch", which impllies that he was doing something legit.

Anver is a renegade, and not authorized to take anyones merchandise.  There is no "copyright infringement" for selling an Authentic Grateful Dead poster in the parking lot of a Widespread Panic concert, or an original piece of art that someone created.  But that doesn't stop him from taking it.

Anver flashed fake credentials, and threatens people with violence if they don't turn over their items.

The bands are not hiring this man, at least not Widespread Panic.

Someone needs to put an end to his shenanigans.  He is nothing more than a thief. who confiscates peoples items.....  which mysteriously end up on ebay from time to time.

I personally know Dave Anver and the reaction from this video and blog are a perfect example of why the human race sucks, The altercations occurred because the man who seems to be the "victim" in the video pushed and beat up on a fellow female co worker of Dave's. Dave works bootleg crew which is why he can take bootlegged merchandise from people in the lots IT IS HIS JOB. Dave's personal information has been spread worldwide and him and his family are being harassed through the web and phone. There are many lies and terrible things written on the website. The people who made and participated in this website are a disgrace to every human being. For god's sake it was a Phish concert, if your gonna be a Hippie act like one. KARMA WILL COME BACK TO YOU!
