Denver's techno scene goes global in October

Actually, to be fair, we've already seen several world-class techno acts in this fair city during 2011; between Afterhours Anonymous/Mahesh Presents bringing in Dixon, Mother Earth Sound System's Robag Wruhme show, plus last weekend's Great American Techno Festival, it's been a big year for Denver techno. And it's about to get even bigger in October with two more excellent techno performances slated.

You might have guessed from the photo above that the Italian-by-way-of-Berlin (seriously, where else would a techno DJ reside these days?) Donato Dozzy will spin his blend of microtrance -- but don't try to pigeonhole this DJ; his sets are eclectic, indeed. He'll be in town on Saturday, October 15; check the event's Facebook page for updated information.

And Spain's Paco Osuna will hit the weekly P.U.N.C.H.I.S. Zoologiko event in Beta's Beatport Lounge; showcasing the best in underground techno is the Zoologiko mission, and Osuna will no doubt prove that techno is alive and well on Friday, October 28; more details are also available for this event on Facebook.

For the record, Robag Wruhme wasn't AA/MP. it was Mother Earth Sound System CrowdPleaser & Emote Music.
