Update (10/27/11): If you haven't seen it yet, a Facebook event page has been established with details of Bryon Woodard's Celebration of Life service. On Saturday, November 5, a celebration of Bryon Woodard's life is planned from 1-4 p.m. in the Vogt Center Auditorium at Mile High Church in Lakewood (9079 W. Alameda). A church service will be held beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Woodard's family has requested that donations be made to the Denver Rescue Mission.

Original Item (10/23/11): Some very sad news to report this morning: We've received word that Bryon Woodard has passed away. Woodard, who helped give countless acts their start at Cricket on the Hill, the iconic bar on 13th and Downing where he once bartended, managed and that he later co-owned with Chris Rawles, was a beloved member of the Denver music scene. We'll post more details as they become available. In the meantime, our sincere heartfelt condolences go out to Bryon's friends and family.

RIP Bryon,

Who was such an advocate for the Denver scene, and a great friend.  Without your help, my band wouldn't been a success.  Thank you and I will always remember you as my friend with the heart of gold.

So sad, Bryon was a great guy and a tireless supporter of music. He poured huge shot's of Jaeger, yet they were smaller than his huge heart. He will be missed by many, and should be loved by all. R.I.P. brother.
