Tamed Animals' Return to the Sun is a perfect, free album for your Halloween party

​Tamed Animals' Dan Barnett has been incredibly busy kicking out an album every month since July. His latest, Return to the Sun, is as haunting as it is beautiful and offers the perfect mix of harsh noise, chaos and soft beats, making it the perfect Halloween accompaniment.

If you take the time to crank it up real loud on a nice set of speakers you'll see what we mean when we say it's a great Halloween album. "Who There," hops between the left and right speakers, with some insane rambling going on between them and glitched out fuzz provided a nice freak-out. Toss on "Rain Cloud Station," in a dark room and you'll feel like you're being comforted by a The Others-era Nicole Kidman, which is as soothing as it is terrifying.

As a whole, Return to the Sun is not nearly as relaxing or pop-centric as the act's previous work, but for an October theme, it's well suited for this time of month. Hit up Tamed Animals' Bandcamp page to download any of the four albums that have been released since July.
