Dave & Buster's unveils new club-like vibe today

Categories: This Just In

The fourteen-year-old Dave & Buster's at 2000 South Colorado Boulevard just became the chain's first location to get a major overhaul, which is unveiled today. The redesign is the initial phase of the company's re-branding, and while there's no schedule yet for rolling out the changes through the other 56 locations. With this update, the original oak-and-brass accoutrements spread throughout the 65,000 square-foot venue have been phased out in favor of a much hipper, almost club-like vibe, and they'll even have a DJ spinning three nights a week.

Various zones have been redefined; the biggest addition is D&B Sports, which has three thirteen-foot hi-definition projection screens - some of the biggest in the state, according to McCullough. Next to the arcade, the Rec Rooms sports an old-school feel, with leather couches, wood paneling, ping-pong and pinball tables. Here's a look at the upgrades at Dave & Busters:

I think this is way over due. When are they going to upgrade the Arcade? I was extremely dispointnted that the one time I went in there that I saw the same games that were at Chucky Cheese. I hope these guys are planning to spend some money on getting games that a 10 year old doesn't find lame.
