Update (11/22/11): The full "Heartbeat" video and the Scars and Stories cover art has been added below.

And so it begins. The Fray is now in full-on promo mode, ramping up for the release of Scars and Stories, the group's third album, produced by Brendan O'Brien and slated for release on February 7, 2012. Making its way across the country glad-handing radioheads and performing on late-night television in support of "Heartbeat," the album's first single, the band idled the hype machine long enough to film a new video.

The video for "Heartbeat" was directed by Justin Francis, who's worked with Alicia Keys, Eminem and the Black Eyed Peas, among others. The clip (which premiered on Vevo this past Thursday) centers around the boys on a beach, playing around a campfire and frolicking in the waves. (Original Item posted 11/15/11)
