Madonna's new single leaks: Does it deserve any love? Plus a breakdown of this week's charts

Madonna wants all your love, but does she deserve any of it?
It was a big week for female pop music. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Madonna were all in the spotlight this week. Perry's new video for "The One That Got Away" garnered six million YouTube views over the weekend. The song is her sixth single from Teenage Dream, and if it goes number one on the Billboard Hot 100, she will have beaten Michael Jackson's record. It's no wonder Perry chose to release the video on 11/11/11 (note the number of ones there are there). Clever, Katy, clever.

Elsewhere, Gaga teased a new video for "Marry the Night," the fifth single from Born This Way, and announced she is releasing an official book. Lest her Little Monsters get too excited, though, the book isn't an autobiography or even a Gaga-approved biography. It's a collection of photos of the star taken by Terry Richardson, to be released next week.

While Perry and Gaga are clearly in top form right now, Madonna is the one who failed to deliver. Is it time for Madge to finally hang it up? Maybe. A demo of her new single, "Give Me All Your Love," leaked online, and while it may only be in demo form right now, it stills sounds like an awful choice for a lead single, especially for Madge's first album of new material since 2008's Hard Candy. Who would have thought Madonna, of all people, would be so anticlimactic?

"Give Me All Your Love," which is rumored to have appearances from Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., was produced by Martin Solveig, whose hit "Hello," with Dragonette, a Canadian electro-pop-rock act, infiltrated every club, radio and iPod in the country this summer. And for good reason. That song is an earworm. Unfortunately for both Solveig and Madonna, though, "Give Me All Your Love" sounds more like an Avril Lavigne leftover than a club hit from the pop star who gave us "Like a Prayer."

While "Give Me All Your Love" may mark a return to Madonna's '80s-pop roots, the demo is too youth-oriented and disposable for a 53-year-old woman, much less one whose debut, "Everybody," was released in 1982 and still sounds great 29 years later.

Madonna does have a history of drastically changing song structure, lyrics, chords, production and tempo of demos before a final version is released (the best example of this is the demo of 2008's "The Beat Goes On" as compared to the final version). But judging by the frustration she and her manager have expressed regarding the demo leaking in the first place, those changes may not be as significant this time around.

According to Madonna's manager, "Give Me All Your Love" will be released in February. If the demo version of "Give Me All Your Love" is any indication, here's hoping Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. can salvage an otherwise sinking ship of a new album campaign from Madge in 2012.

Movers & Shakers: Rihanna and Calvin Harris sit pretty atop the Billboard Hot 100 with "We Found Love." It is the song's second week at the top. LMFAO's dick-wiggling good time, "Sexy And I Know It," continues its ascent to the top, moving one slot to number two this week. Adele's "Someone Like You" falls to number three for the first time since reaching the summit.

Elsewhere in the top ten, David Guetta and Usher goes from seven to six with "Without You," while Foster The People drops from five to seven with "Pumped Up Kicks." A little lower, Flo Rida's foray into radio-ready dubstep, "Good Feeling," cracks the top ten, moving twelve to eight. Lower down, Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" vaults from 34 to 18 this week -- and that charting was announced before the video was even released. Given America's current obsession with Perry, "The One That Got Away" will likely only continue upwards at this point, in part due to such an emotional video.

I don't even believe this is Madonna at all.. If it is, I hate to say it but I think she better look for another track from her new album to be the lead single.. Madonna will always be the best but I don't think that ones going to be another like a virgin, vogue or hung up...

I, and most other articles I've read, have louded Madonna for creating an INCREDIBLY catchy new tune. It's impossible to get out of your mind after hearing it. I don't understand the writer's motive for the nasty comments in this article. There's definitely some prejudice regarding her age that's evident here. It doesn't matter because she's still amazing and I have a feeling she will continue to be for quite some time yet.

What a sexist commentary. You must be one of Gaga's little monsters who are upset that her star is fading fast.

Guy who wrote this must be a teen or in his 20's!!!!! Why You feel the need to slap Madonna down for her age or suggest she "hang it up?" WOW BUD!! Pretty Ignorant! I have a feeling Madonna's career in Entertainment will be going a lot longer than the Assinine Jerkoff that wrote this!Peace

LOL.  Katy Perry's video is awful and the song is mediocre.  Somebody is a Katy fan and pissed that Madonna's single takes aim at all of those stupid followers.  KP is the worst of them all.
