The weekend is here! The weekend is here! If you're like us, you're looking for the drop on the dopest parties to shake off the week. We've got you covered top to bottom. From reggae and world beats to drum and bass, there's something for everyone to get into as we ease into the weekend.

Tonight, after the free Sean Paul show at Casselman's, Govahment Promotions will be rocking the usual Fiyah Fridays party at Africana Café. The music selection is reggae, African and Soc style music. 21+up

And there's more reggae for your mind at The Roots Dance at the Gypsy House tonight. This party is definitely 21 plus and is being billed as a conscious reggae experience. DJ Uplifter with special guest Bushy Bush will be rocking the party right. ($5 before 1 a.m.)

Saturday afternoon from 1 - 6 p.m., as a precursor to the Tooey's Off Colfax '90s House Party throw down, the 2nd Annual Winter Get Down with Double K from People Under the Stairs will be going down at the Tivoli Turnhalle on the Auraria Campus. There will be free food for all at this all-ages show. Hip-hop Congress is asking for one can food item for entry and three cans donation to enter the battle. Panama Soweto will be hosting.

And then later that night, be on the lookout for the 3rd Anniversary of the '90s House Party jump-off at Tooey's Off Colfax also featuring Double K of People Under the Stairs, with resident party rockers, DJ Lazy Eyez, Esnine and Cysko Rokwel.

That same night, after the Fillmore lets out, catch the Beats Antique After Party at City Hall Amphitheatre featuring Lynx, EVS, and Dynohunter. Cover is $10 with your ticket stub from the show, $15 without. Hip tip: You'll probably want to find your way there around 11 p.m. or so to beat the rush from Colfax.

Ring in RECON DNB's founder Maggie Despise's 30th birthday at Cervante's Masterpiece Ballroom with the deejay quartet Helicopter Showdown and Skynet on Saturday night. Supporting acts include Ishe, Dirt Monkey, Philliez, Shoebox and the birthday girl herself, Despise.

In Aurora, meanwhile, Black Girls Rock, an event celebrating the brilliance and creativity of black women, is going down at the Kasbah. Doors open at 9pm, cover is $5 and you must be 21 plus to party. There will be music, live performances, and all sorts of artistic fodder.

Up in Boulder, you can get toasty for only $8 at The Shack at Shug's in Boulder with Juno What?! and Mikey Thunder. Thunder recently opened, and slayed for that matter, the SBTRKT show, and will surely provide comparable tracks for this epic Saturday night throw down.

Finally, Beauty Bar hosts Exxxplosive #3 with Ginger Perry, Fisk *TreeThugger* and, the double dipper himself, Mikey Thunder, whose appearance will be later than usual as he's also opening in Boulder at Shug's -- not bad for little Saturday to play to venues on separate cities.
