Doc Martin
The biggest news in dance music this weekend is undeniably Doc Martin, who'll play an intimate set at Bar Standard tonight as part of Full Flavor Fridays. But if house isn't your cup of tea, there's plenty of bass, minimalist techno and more to soundtrack your weekend. If you feel like dancing this weekend, page down. Here's what's on this weekend's Dance Card:

Full Flavor Fridays is bringing in house heavyweight Doc Martin (who probably needs no introduction) to Bar Standard tonight; the deep house vocals and funky tribal basslines are sure to pack the dance floor in this intimate venue. Ejay and Greg Campbell will open. (9 p.m., 21+)

Kill the Noise and the Upbeats bring the bass to Beta tonight on the main floor; in the Beatport Lounge, P.U.N.C.H.I.S. presents a release party for Mick Finesse's new EP, Tunnel Vision, on Perc Trax. Finesse himself and John Templeton will keep the dance floor spellbound. (9 p.m., 18+, $15)

The Ogden Theatre offers up Excision for a second night in a row tonight; Liquid Stranger, Lucky Date and Dirt Monkey will open for what promises to be an evening full of dirty, dirty basslines. It's sold out -- but we know you have your methods. (8 p.m., 16+, $35, SOLD OUT)

Lumonics hosts Sculpted Sound tonight with Mukti, plus Labyrinth, Asymptotic and Greasy Monk offering psytrance and ambient for your psychedelic listening pleasure. (10 p.m., 18+, $10)

House favorite Steve Smooth will blast his tunes over Beta's sound system on Saturday, with support by Marshall Monica and Cognition + T-Rav. (9 p.m., 18+, $10)

Re:Creation hits Summit Music Hall again this weekend with genre-spanning producer and dance-floor impresario Random Rab, plus Heyoka, R/D and Thriftworks. (8:30 p.m., 16+, $22)

Slow it down on Saturday night with the second Mixology Lounge at Ghost Plate & Tap, dedicated to dreamier tempos and soul-drenched tunes in a relaxed atmosphere. DJs Ejay and Ces of Spellbound will play an array of downtempo, neo soul and more, and guest mixologists will serve up special blends in the coupe bar. (8 p.m., 21+, no cover)

Lumonics welcomes back Tao of Bass on Saturday night, a workshop with Chinese Qigong and meditation, plus dance-worthy tunes. (6 p.m., all ages, $20)

Juno What?! will bring its ridiculously amped-up dance party to Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom on Saturday night with Atomga Groove Alliance and Sunsquabi. (8 p.m., 16+, $12)

Funky Buddha hosts Steve Synfull at House Guest Saturdays once again on, uh, Saturday, with guest Luke Jonathan. (9 p.m., 21+, no cover)

The Dirty Funk Squad returns to Opal on Saturday night with guests Rob Gray and BeeKay playing deep and funky house. (9 p.m., 21+, no cover)
