The Legend of Zelda Symphony at Boettcher on April 7

​Gamers and Geeks, rejoice! Here's another reason to leave the house besides MileHiCon and the occasional run to stock up on Mountain Dew and pizza bagels: The local premier of The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, a four-part symphony celebrating the storied franchise's theme music over the years, which will be performed by living, breathing musicians rather than a synthesizer at Boettcher Hall on Saturday, April 7.

The symphony debuted last October in honor of Link's 25th anniversary as Nintendo's favorite dragon-slaying, princess-saving elfin creature. The performance was so well received that a national tour is now underway, including the stop in Denver this spring. Along with the musical survey of the game's various incarnations, the event also includes video projections of classic story lines from Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, Twilight Princess and more.

A nostalgic trip down video game memory lane isn't free though. Tickets for the concert start at $39.95 and run as high as $120. If you want to have a little money left over for a trip to the diner after the show, Nintendo has released a discount code: Type HOOKSHOT at checkout to save 15 percent on your purchase. Then all you'll need to worry about is where to find that last piece of the Tri-Force.
