Rihanna "Birthday Cake (Remix)" with Chris Brown: More like disturbia

Okay, after hearing the full version of Rihanna's "Birthday Cake (Remix)," featuring Chris Brown, we're in utter shock. If Tina Turner heard this damning pop, which essentially gives Brown a pass for what he did to Rihanna three years ago, we're pretty sure she'd be shaking her head like us -- especially if the police report that leaked over the weekend is accurate. The abuse is something no one should have to endure again, let alone condone in song.

We're trying to wrap our head around the new Chris Brown lyrics to "Birthday Cake (Remix)": "Girl I want to fuck you right now/Been a long time, I've been missing your body." You've got to be kidding us. Let's see, he abuses her, and now she lets him sing about how he wants to give it to her in the worst way? And then after Brown finishes seducing her in verse, Rihanna asks him, "Remember how you did it?" If he doesn't remember, the rest of the world does. That's why this is so appalling.

The worst part about this whole situation is that Rihanna never officially released a statement about what happened the night he attacked her. So now this essentially becomes her statement. Plus we get a supplementary statement made by her cameo on a new version of Brown's single "Turn Up the Music" that implies that high-volume music may drown out all of your problems -- all after three years of silence from one of the world's loudest pop stars. Unfortunately, like Brown's violent temper will forever define his career, Rihanna's will forever be defined by not taking a stand against domestic violence, by not speaking out and by releasing "Birthday Cake (Remix)."

Miranda Lambert was right about Brown. In case you missed it, after the Grammys, she tweeted: "He beat on a girl... Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to 'Gunpowder and Lead' and be put back in his place."
