Weekend's best dance bets: SnowBall, Tigerskin (aka Dub Taylor), the Crystal Method and more

Bassnectar brings the bottom end to the mountains this weekend for Snowball.

There is a ridiculous amount of talent in the state this weekend, and we do mean ridiculous. Between the Crystal Method, Bassnectar and the renowned Tigerskin (aka Dub Taylor), you'd have plenty to choose from. SnowBall Music Festival kicks off this weekend in Vail with Rusko, MiMOSA, Major Lazer, MartyParty and, of course, many more acts on several stages for your dancing pleasure. And that's just one of the things on this weekend's Dance Card. Page down for your best bets.

Full Flavor Fridays continues to elevate the lineups at Bar Standard to a higher level; tonight, San Francisco's Lance Desardi will work his meld of house and techno on the dance floor; Garret and Greg Campbell are slated to do the opening honors. (9 p.m., 21+)

Sharooz

Experience Altitude Sickness at Casselman's tonight with dubstep heavyweight Hirshee from Vancouver and techno-and-dub mix master Sharooz heading in all the way from the U.K. It's bound to get sick inside that venue. (8 p.m., 21+, no cover)

Analog Space continues its Fever Pitch monthly at the Meadowlark; this round, Khalib, Derek Russo, Psyzmic, Stephen Barnes and Peter Black will play deep, experimental tunes in whatever genre they please. (9 p.m., 21+, no cover)

The aptly named Bassic Fridays at Beta is once again starting off the weekend with a bang; this week, Dub Police featuring Caspa will be the main event. (9 p.m., 18+, $30)

Head to Boulder to catch the Ninja Bass Summit at the Fox Theatre, featuring Mr. Anonymous and locals Ivy, Bobby C Sound TV and Psychonaut. (8:30 p.m., all ages, $11-$13)

The Crystal Method

The Crystal Method will no doubt enjoy testing the capabilities of Beta's top-tier sound system on Saturday night when the veterans take the decks with the usual Funhouse residents Dragon and Cognition + T-Rav. (9 p.m., 18+, $20)

The amazingly talented and multifaceted Tigerskin (aka Dub Taylor/Korsakow) will bewitch 2200 on Saturday night, courtesy of MESS, CrowdPleaser and 5270 Crew. There's not much to say about this prolific and compelling producer/DJ except to enjoy the ride. (9 p.m., 21+, $15)

The beautiful people will be at Paparazzi for the People, kicking off the 2012 run with an all-female edition featuring Jasmine Solano and Roxy Cottontail, plus Ginger Perry. And where else to hold a bash like this one but Beauty Bar? (9 p.m., 21+)

On Saturday, Snowball continues to roll with Ghostland Observatory and Pictureplane, among other names. (12 p.m., $64.95-$159.50)

Get In2Deep at the Funky Buddha on Saturday night, featuring Swank with special guests Diizel and DJ Mere of P.U.N.C.H.I.S. renown. (9 p.m., 21+)

The Larimer Lounge hosts experimental electronica duo YACHT to its stage on Saturday night, with Peter Black and Real Magic in tow. (8 p.m., 21+, $15-$18)

Bassnectar

Don't think of leaving Snowball early, because the fest saved some of the best electronic acts for last on Sunday, including Human Agency, Boombox, Beats Antique and Bassnectar, so stick around to squeeze the last hours of daylight from the weekend. (12 p.m., $64.95-$159.50)
