Weekend's best dance and party bets: Dieselboy, Beufie, A Very Superstitious Friday the 13th party, Sleazy Killer, Dance Lab and more
Beufie will guest star at House Revival this Saturday night -- but Brett Starr is also living up to his name as he releases The Love EP, which includes a track by Brian "Rescue" Hein. And Rescue will be rounding out the House Revival switch-off, making it a family affair. Head to the Funky Buddha to see it happen. (9 p.m., 21+, no cover)
BoomBox will be in Aspen at the Belly Up on Saturday night doing the electro-glam-rock-psychedelic thing with Cupid, so if you're in the high country, put your dancing shoes on! (8 p.m., 21+, $25-$28)
Pennylane Productions and crew will host CO.LAB at Beauty Bar. An art party celebrating the best in live body painting, amazing beats and a groove that will last all night long, this one is not to be missed. Featuring performances from boyhollow, timeline, Daytona and more, with art work by Ashley Coutee, Whitney Roberts, and more. $5 cover.
Easy Killer gets Sleazy on Saturday night with the appropriately named Sleazy Killer, featuring Whiskey Disco's Sleazy McQueen; Gazeebo, Ivy, Ejay and Khalib will join in the groovy fun at 2200. (10 p.m., 21+)
Green Velvet's bright, smooth, sultry Chicago-house stylings will fill the speakers of Beta on Saturday night; residents Dragon, Cognition + T-Rav will join the Real Wolfe in warming up the dance floors. (9 p.m., 18+, $10)
Opal Lion at Opal will be jumping, as per usual on Saturday night, with the reggae flavor that makes this Saturday night one of the fliest places to experience dance hall. DJ Bushy Bush and the Mountain Lion family will keep the vibrations high with the best in island and Caribbean music. $5 cover, 21+up, drink specials all night.
Peter Black, DJ Mu$a, Gyp da Hip and more will be rocking your face off well into the morning for Dance Lab at 1919 Gallery. After you've made your way through the entire city, join your favorite dance party DJs as they blend their vibes and talents together to present a party where the first rule is "no posing."
