UPDATE, Monday, July 16: Thanks to all the artists and music fans who could make it out to our party on Thursday -- here are photos of the scene last week at the Bluebird: Westword Music Showcase Awards at the Bluebird Theater
The votes have been been tallied for the 2012 Westword Music Showcase ballot, and we're doing things a little bit differently this year. Rather than announcing them at the actual ceremony, we're revealing them here. And then in lieu of a traditional ceremony, we're throwing a party this Thursday, July 12 at the Bluebird Theater, where we'll give out the actual awards, and then have live music from a couple of this year's nominees, including BLKHRTS and a special guest. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the nominees VIP reception (must have invite and be 21 plus), and the party (open to the public, ages sixteen and up) kicks off at 8 p.m. RSVP on Facebook. Now, on to this year's winners, as voted by you, readers of Westword.
