Denver/Boulder's five best places to buy records

Hey Westword, maybe you should use a photo of the Independent Records that is in Denver, not the one that is in Colorado Springs? 

I heard a rumour that a 2.4 million dollar loan at the Lowenstein Complex has been in default since Feb.. I guess that makes Wax Trax #1 soon. B&R should be #1. Barts is a shack. Absolute Vinyl is a Van Nuys type of store just used to get stuff for eBay. Twist has too many RIAA visit candidates in their racks, not cool. The Record Show should be three times a year.

Well, everything that needed to be said has been said.  Black'n'Read should definitely make the top 5.  Black'n'Read's employees are the type of people who volunteer to bring a high schooler home from a metal show because the kid's parents don't want to stay up that late.  Their selection is great and it is a place where you get more than you deserve. And Wax Trax is number 1, not number 2.  Hell, I know vinyl hounds who search the internet constantly for that one album...and in the end, it's Wax Trax who scores it on their behalf.  That goes far beyond hosting shows or offering local bands' albums or having a neat special deal.  It speaks to Wax Trax's passion for record collecting and how it plays out through attention to detail, relationships within the music and vinyl scenes and extraordinary customer service.  That's why they are number 1.

and they forgot Black & Read, plus who in Denver cares about Bart's? it's too small now... I did get heat outta there back when Vajra was still ringing people up. Can't hate.
