CHRIS LIEBING @ NORAD DANCE BAR | FRIDAY, 11/16/12
If you know anything about electronic music today, then you know that Berlin is the creative hub of the genre these days. And Chris Liebing is one of the best-known names in Berlin for pumping out innovative, floor-banging hard techno that's relentlessly melodic, insistently danceable and extremely popular -- for obvious reasons. He mixes sets at clubs around the planet to packed dancefloors, producers his own tracks and also hosts a weekly radio show and insanely popular CLR podcast (also the name of his well-regarded related label). And it's proof of Denver's growing status on the serious electronic circuit that he's playing one of his two stops on his upcoming U.S. tour at NORAD on on Friday, November 16, with Deciprocal and Daegon supporting on the main floor, and the Tree House Collective crew upstairs in the lounge. (His other stateside set will be at New York's infamous Pacha nightclub, at Danny Tenaglia's Techno Is the Answer party -- so, clearly, we are in very good company). (Co-presented by AfterHours Anonymous, 8 p.m., 21+, $20 advance -$25 at the door)
