Services for Julian Anderson slated for this Saturday, January 5, at Mile High Church

Categories: In Memoriam

Update: Julian Anderson's memorial service was held on Saturday, January 5, at Mile High Church; it was well attended and quite touching. A number of folks got up and shared their memories of Julian, including close friends and former bandmates, and even his doctor. Julian was clearly very loved and will be sorely missed. Gretchen Anderson, Julian's beloved wife, sent us a note and some additional photos, all of which you can see/read here.

In case you missed it last week, we received word that Julian Anderson had passed away just after Christmas. Anderson was an intrinsic and beloved member of the scene for more than two decades, from his time playing bass for Dick and the Chicks through his years as a founding member of Dogs of Pleasure until most recently as a guitarist for the World Famous Johnsons. Services will be held this Saturday afternoon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Mile High Church at 9077 W. Alameda in Lakewood, followed by a reception immediately after at Herman's Hideaway.
