Bluegrass aficiandos, rejoice! Time to break out the banjos. The Midwinter Bluegrass Festival, which kicks off this Friday, February 15, and runs through Sunday, February 17, will give you all the bluegrass you can handle this weekend with performances by a parade of the area's prime purveyors from Finnders and Youngberg to Pete Wernick. Set to kick off on Friday night at the Northglenn Ramada Plaza, the itinerary is jam packed with instrumental and vocal workshops, a band scramble in which players are selected at random and have three hours to form a band to compete for over $500 in prize money, plus beginners' jams and an all day showcase scheduled for Saturday. Tickets ($35-$75) are on sale now. Keep reading for the full lineup.
