Pop Lovers: Katy Perry - "The One That Got Away"
Because people who love Top 40 seem to always have some big romantic dilemma, we thought this lost-love song would light up pop lover's hearts. Of course, you can't just stick this song on the stereo and hope for the best; this one must be watched. Not only does it show two people in love, but also it has a little Johnny Cash thrown in, and everyone loves tatted-up rich old bitches...as long as there's some Johnny Cash.

'80s Lovers: Berlin - "Take My Breath Away"
This song is in Top Gun, which is the most awesome '80s movie ever made. If your date was alive in the '80s, chances are good he or she has definitely had sex to this song. Light a candle, put on some mirrored shades, and get the party started! It's a sure thing. (Just steer clear of quotes like "I feel the need...the need for speed." Quickness is not a positive here.)

@Cognitive_Dissident Marvin Gaye is godlike. So is Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. Obvious, but totally worthy of mention: the Isley Brothers. I have to think a great many babies were made to "Between the Sheets."

@dave.herrera @Cognitive_Dissident The first thing that came to mind was Marvin Gaye. There's got to be half a dozen good ones right there. Other Barry White, of course. One fun experiment would be to go to youtube and find Marvin, then listen to at all the great stuff from other artists that shows up in the right-hand margin. I pretty much did that, once.

"Let's Stay Together" comes to mind as one of those...bunch of Temptations too. Chilites...there's no end.

@tzadik42Pretty much anything by theWeeknd would work. If this were simply sexy songs, I'd add anything by Sade, but particularly "No Ordinary Love," "Til the Cops Come Knocking" by Maxwell, "Feenin' by Jodeci, "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star...oh, so many others.

i was super curious about this list.. and then... Insane Clown Posse?! nothing makes a dick more limp that insane clown posse. in fact, the word "dick" and the name "insane clown posse" shouldn't be in the same sentence .... UNLESS it's "Insane Clown Posse? What are you? some kind of dick?"
